For individuals eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, our Dual Eligible Special Needs plans (D-SNPs) are designed to help our members live better and healthier.

Our D-SNP plans feature Wellcare Spendables which provides a preloaded card to use towards items shown below. 

   OTC    Wellcare Spendables® Card allows you to shop in store at participating retailers, online, mobile app or over the phone for your over-the-counter (OTC) items. You can use  your card on a variety of OTC items, such as cold medicine, first aid supplies, and vitamins.

Depending on your D-SNP plan and eligibility, you may use the Wellcare Spendables®Card towards the benefits below*:

  • Gas pay-at-pump
  • Purchase of healthy food
  • Utility and rent assistance
  • Home improvement and safety items.

Important Note:

  • Members on most of our D-SNP plans can use the Wellcare Spendables® Card towards these benefits.
  • For some D-SNP plans: Benefits mentioned are a part of Special Supplemental Benefits for the Chronically Ill. Not all members will qualify. In addition to being high-risk, you must have one or more of the following chronic conditions: cancer, cardiovascular disorders, chronic and disabling mental health conditions, chronic lung disorders, diabetes. There are other eligible conditions not listed. Eligibility for this benefit cannot be guaranteed based solely on your condition.
